Join Smith's General and Prow House Quilts owner, Dash Masland to learn the basics of quilting while making your own whole cloth baby quilt. We will go over fabric selection, basting, quilting and binding while using whole pieces of fabric, so no patchwork required.

This class is designed to be an introduction to the basic process of quilting, so please note that it is not a beginner sewer class. Students must come with their own machine and be comfortable with how their machine functions.

If you do not have your own machine, but are familiar with sewing, we have a limited number of machines available for rent in the shop. Please contact us for details and to reserve in advance of class.

All materials for the quilt will be provided (your choice from the shop of front fabric, back fabric, binding fabric and batting). Students will need to bring (or purchase) their own sewing machine needles and thread. A walking foot for your sewing machine is recommended.
