Madeleine Quilt

At the end of an island, there is a little slate beach that catches the elusive Maine sunset thanks to its orientation looking back over the mainland. I spent many twilight hours here during my formative years, skipping almost unnaturally flat rocks and absorbing the last colors of the day. A stone crib, supporting the enormous pier and standing proud against the background of ocean waters, is the inspiration behind the Madeleine quilt; strong yet gentle and entwined with the simplicity of coastal evenings.

Little (40" x 40")

Throw (60" x 60")

*Please note, in these sizes the design ratio will vary slightly to accommodate bed sizing.

Materials:

Linen/cotton blend background and cotton fabrics, cotton batting and cotton thread.

Colors:

Oat background alongside charcoal stripe, ice blue, sea foam, light ochre, and deep mauve accents.

Hanging Sleeve:

Add a hanging sleeve to any size quilt for easy wall display. Simply slide a wooden dowel through the sleeve and hang on a nail or hanger of choice. Since the hanging sleeve is made from the backing fabric, when not on display, the quilt is still usable.

Care:

Machine wash cold on delicate and tumble dry low for a crinkly texture or lay flat to dry for a smoother finish. A warm iron may be used to press out wrinkles.

Production:

Each quilt is handmade to order in our studio in Maine, quilted by our partners in New Hampshire and returns to our studio for finishing: please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
